Jen has advised across a broad range of commercial matters, including supply of goods and services, consumer contracts, risk management, intellectual property, privacy, sponsorship and technology. Jen also has experience in workers' compensation litigation.

Kate Hynes has over 20 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer, specialising in contracts, intellectual property, technology, entertainment and international trade. Kate's experience includes stints in Dubai and Indonesia for international firms, and nine years in-house. In addition to her legal practice, Kate spent eight years on the board of Trade and Investment Queensland (including four years as deputy chair) and is an experienced entrepreneur.

Robyn Thiessen was admitted to practice in 2017 and joined Practical Law after more than 8 years working in both private practice and in-house.  As a litigation associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth she worked across various commercial disputes ranging from multi-faceted class actions to complex contractual interpretation cases, privacy and data breach advisory work, and government regulatory enforcement and coronial matters.  Most recently as legal counsel at eBay Australia, she advised primarily on consumer, competition, media and advertisement, trade promotions, IP, supply of goods and services and general contract law.

Kate Hurford joined Practical Law after more than 15 years' experience in private practice in South Australia, Hong Kong and London. Kate worked for Piper Alderman and then spent 12 years with Herbert Smith (now Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer), working in the dispute resolution division. Kate has also worked for Practical law UK’s Dispute Resolution team and for Omni Bridgeway, an ASX-listed dispute finance company, in various roles including as legal counsel.
