Chris Freeland is an experienced CEO and Chair, having also worked as a lawyer and strategy consultant. He has lived and worked in Asia, the US and Australia. Chris has held executive leadership roles at major law and consulting firms in Australia and internationally, including Baker McKenzie, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Gilbert + Tobin and King & Wood. Prior to joining CPA Australia, Chris was with Baker McKenzie where he began as Managing Partner (CEO) of Australia and was subsequently appointed Asia Pacific Managing Director. Chris started his career as a Corporate Lawyer with Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer), before becoming a strategy consultant with BCG in New York and then Melbourne. Chris has been actively involved in the non-profit sector, in Non-Executive Director and other leadership roles including as Chair, and was appointed as a Member of the Order for Australia (AM) for ‘significant service to the arts in New South Wales particularly to the film industry, to business education, and to the community.

Trevor R. Hunnicutt
White House Correspondent, Washington DC, Reuters
Trevor R. Hunnicutt is White House Correspondent at Reuters News, where he writes about foreign and domestic policy and is part of a reporting team that covers U.S. President Donald Trump. Hunnicutt has covered the White House since 2021, following his work covering the presidential campaign and transition from 2019-2021. Prior to joining Reuters’ 2020 election team, Hunnicutt covered the Federal Reserve and economics in New York. That role that followed seven years of writing about finance, markets and wealth, including covering Warren Buffett and several of the largest investors on Wall Street. He joined Reuters in 2015 and is a multiple-time honoree at the news agency’s Journalist of the Year Awards. He serves as an elected member of the board of the White House Correspondents' Association. Hunnicutt holds a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor’s in politics from Pomona College. He lives and works in Washington.

Justice Kunc is the General Editor of the Australian Law Journal and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Equity. He is the Chair of the Legal Services Council Admissions Committee and the Law Admissions Consultative Committee.

Catherine Renshaw is the Dean of Law at Western Sydney University. She obtained her law degree from UNSW and her PhD from Sydney University. She started her legal career at Allens, practicing as a commercial litigator, and then went to work for the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales, where she ran discrimination cases.

Axel Threlfall is Editor-at-Large, Reuters, based in London. Alongside his editorial duties, he hosts high-profile engagements and thought leadership events for and on behalf of Reuters and Thomson Reuters, including the flagship Reuters NEXT summits and the Newsmaker series. He was previously Lead European Anchor for Reuters Digital Video. Prior to joining Reuters, Axel spent five years as an anchor for CNBC in London. Before that, he was an editor with The Wall Street Journal in New York and a news reporter for Bloomberg in London. He has also advised businesses and NGOs on their dealings with the international media. He has a BA in History from Durham University and a postgraduate degree in journalism from City University, London.
