NEW IN 2012

Grant Thornton, the authors, have conducted an extensive review of the templates to ensure that they are up-to-date with the latest compliance and reporting standards so that they continue to meet your needs.

The June 2012 update of, the Financial Templates Toolkit features a new calculator:

  • Units of Production Amortisation – Provides for amortisation of assets via the units of production method, which is useful for apportioning amortisation according to the production output of plant and equipment.

As part of this review, the following templates have also been updated:

  • Amortisation Methods - Updated to align with AASB 116 ‘Property, Plant and Equipment’, AASB 117 ‘Leases’ and AASB 138 ‘Intangible Assets’;
  • Interest Accrual – Compounding Monthly - New "add row" feature allows addition of line items beyond the previous limit, extensive additions to data validation to improve accuracy of data entry and subsequent calculations, automatic calculation of effective interest rates & updated AASB references; and
  • Compliance Calendar and Tracker - Updated for the 2012–2013 period
