Australia’s ‘carbon tax’ commences on 1 July 2012.  Set up by the Federal Government’s Clean Energy legislation, the carbon pricing mechanism aims to address climate change by cutting pollution and driving investment in other energy sources.

The government anticipates around 500 entities will have to pay for their carbon emissions. But the drive to create new industries and technologies means new opportunities for a much wider range of businesses – and for legal, financial and other specialist advisers who understand the new Clean Energy environment.

Australian Emissions Trading Law helps you understand the shape, structure and operation of our new clean energy environment and assess the opportunities it creates.
